1. Data controller

The data controller is Vitaliy Ryaboy.

You can contact me and submit requests concerning your personal data by emailing vriaboy@gmail.com.

2. Data processed

When you browse the site, the technical infrastructure may process your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page visited, browser and device information, network and security signals, and information concerning errors and automated bot-detection results. These data may be recorded in logs and are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and operational, prevent abuse and diagnose problems.

Email links open the email client on your device, and clicking them alone does not transmit data to ryaboy.dev. If you send a message, your email address, the content of the communication, any attachments and any other information you choose to provide are processed solely to respond and manage any subsequent professional relationship.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Personal data are processed to make the site available, secure and operational, based on the legitimate interests of the controller; to respond to enquiries and take steps at the data subject’s request before entering into a possible professional relationship; to comply with legal obligations; or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Technical data are required for the operation of the site, while sending an email is optional. No automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects concerning individuals are made, and no commercial profiling or unsolicited marketing is carried out.

4. Providers and international transfers

Processing may involve:

• Deno Deploy, hosting and running the site.
• Cloudflare, DNS, content delivery, protection against bot traffic and network diagnostics.
• Google Gmail, receiving and managing email.

Some providers use international infrastructure and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, transfers take place under the safeguards described in their respective privacy notices. Personal data are not sold or disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Retention

Technical data are retained in accordance with the configurations and retention periods applied by the infrastructure providers, only for as long as necessary for security, operation and diagnostics.

Email enquiries that do not lead to a professional relationship are retained for no longer than 12 months from the most recent contact. If a professional relationship begins, data may be retained for longer to manage that relationship and comply with applicable administrative, tax or legal obligations.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

ryaboy.dev does not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking tools.

To protect the site against malicious automated traffic, Cloudflare may set the technical cookies __cf_bm and cf_clearance. __cf_bm supports Bot Fight Mode and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity; cf_clearance stores the outcome of JavaScript Detections or a Cloudflare challenge for the period determined by the applicable security settings. Cloudflare may also use short-lived technical cookies when presenting a challenge or diagnosing the operation of its Challenge Platform. These cookies are used for security and are not used by the controller for advertising or cross-site profiling. Further details are available in Cloudflare’s cookie documentation.

If you manually choose the light or dark theme, your browser stores the technical preference ryaboy-theme in local storage. The value contains only the selected mode, does not identify you, is not sent to the server and is used solely to restore your chosen appearance on subsequent visits. If you return to System mode, the value is removed. You can also delete it by clearing the site data in your browser settings.

When you choose a language using the selector, your browser stores the functional cookie ryaboy-language, with the value it or en, for 12 months. The cookie is sent to ryaboy.dev and is used solely to redirect subsequent visits to unprefixed URLs to the version in your selected language. It contains no personal identifiers; you can update it by choosing the other language or delete it in your browser settings.

7. Data subject rights

You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing or data portability, and object to processing in the circumstances provided by the GDPR. To exercise these rights, email vriaboy@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
